Explore the Land of Beautiful Horses

The name 'Cappadocia' dates back to the ancient Persian 'Katpatuka', meaning 'Land of Beautiful Horses'. There is no more authentic way to explore this lunar landscape than from the saddle. Horseback riding tours in Cappadocia allow you to navigate narrow winding paths through the Red, Rose, and Love Valleys that vehicles cannot reach. Whether you are a seasoned equestrian or a complete beginner, these guided safaris offer a peaceful, rhythmic journey through volcanic canyons, ancient cave dwellings, and vineyards, often timed perfectly to catch the sunrise with hot air balloons or the dramatic golden glow of sunset.

Highlight of our trip!

Riding through the Red Valley at sunset was magical. The horses were so calm and well-behaved, and I'm a total beginner. The views are just insane. Highly recommend!

Beautiful sunrise ride

We did the sunrise tour to see the balloons. It was cold, so dress warmly! But seeing the balloons rise while on horseback was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Verified booking.

Great experience, dusty

The ride was fantastic and the guide was funny. Just be warned it gets very dusty, so bring sunglasses and maybe a scarf/mask. The horses were lovely.

Gentle horses

I was nervous because I have never ridden before. My horse, 'Sultan', was very gentle and just followed the leader. I felt very safe. The valley scenery is beautiful.

Magique

An absolute must-do in Cappadocia. We booked the 2-hour sunset ride. The light hitting the fairy chimneys was spectacular. Pickup from our hotel in Göreme was on time.
